The importance of Maintenance

Maintenance and hygiene go hand in hand and both are vital for quality that is beyond reproach. Even though our machines have been cleverly designed for the easiest possible operation, certain simple but vital operations must still be carried out every morning and evening.

One of the keys to final quality

Starting the machine in the morning

Traditional expresso machines :

  • Open the two steam taps for around twenty seconds to make sure the heater is working properly
  • Push the filter holders back onto the groups
  • Warm up the groups by starting a normal cycle without any coffee

Coffee grinders :

  • Fill up the mills
  • Check the amount (7g)

1, 2, 3 Spresso machines :

  • Fill the water tank
  • During the day, fill the water tank and empty the used pod tub as often as necessary.

Maintenance in the evening

Traditional expresso machines :

  • Remove the filter holder handles
  • Remove the filters
  • Clean the two parts
  • Clean the filter holder seals
  • Remove the tub and clean it properly, along with the gutter and grills
  • Clean the drainage tub
  • Check and clean the steam tubes
  • Do not put the filter holder handles back on the group

Coffee grinders :

  • You must empty the coffee grain tank
  • Empty the ground coffee distributor fully
  • Clean all the plastic parts and the clearances

1, 2, 3 Spresso machines :

  • Empty the water from the tank
  • Empty the used pod container
  • Clean the tub
