THE 1, 2, 3 SPRESSO® CONCEPT

COMBINING MACHINES & PODS

Malongo launched this unique concept of machines and pods as early as 1995. The 1,2,3 Spresso® system can be used by both businesses and individuals to prepare an easy peasy espresso according to trade standards. All you need is a pod, 20 seconds and 3 actions to find yourself with a real-deal espresso. Malongo’s Research & Development laboratory is actively involved in designing the best machines for handling that final pre-tasting phase.

The individual pod system has changed coffee drinking habits in both homes and catering outlets.  On the very competitive home espresso market, it stands head and shoulders above the rest for its 16 bars of pressure, the astounding range of origins available on the menu and its sustainability.

PAPER PODS

EASY PEASY QUALITY COFFEE

Round, compact and environmentally-friendly, the 1,2,3 Spresso® natural fibre paper pod offers unrivalled fresh aromas in recyclable, collectable and degradable packaging.

Each pod contains just the right amount of the right ground coffee, and the machine takes care of the rest! Pods are ideally designed to produce a very tasty drink. The 1,2,3 Spresso® pod is a concentrate of aromas and flavours and embodies all of our expertise!

 

Ek'Oh

Ek’Oh is manufactured in France to meet the purist requirements of espressos. This ethical, eco-designed, recyclable, low-energy machine can also be repaired.

 

PACKAGING

PROTECTING GREAT TASTE, QUALITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

All of our coffees are systematically sold in vacuum packs. This guarantees that the aromas will stay fresh. Our decision to opt for immediate packaging, our strict specifications, our daily checks and the corrective action taken all guarantee the top quality of our coffees.

We continue to optimise, identify and develop packaging concepts. We maintain our long-term partnership with our suppliers based on two criteria: both the coffee aromas and the environment must be protected.

AMBITION

As the first firm to market vacuum-packed coffee in 1950 and then coffee in metal tins in 1965, Malongo has run a plethora of research projects to ensure that its coffee benefits from packaging able to maintain fresh aromas with regular upgrades. Malongo has won several packaging awards and is now putting its full force behind eco-design.

Thanks to a combination of tradition and technological prowess, we have raised coffee to the heights of subtlety. We consider that absolutely everything can be improved. We know how to adapt to changes in the world around us and explore new trends. We are constantly creating, inventing and moving forward on this basis.

We have received various awards based on Malongo’s innovation programmes. These awards highlight the day-to-day work of all Malongo teams.

1987: 3 kg magnum of coffee beans.
1990: Les Pures Origines tin.
1995: Les Cafés Rares pack.
