By making this documentary, Malongo wanted to pay homage to Father Van der Hoff, the founder of the Max Havelaar seal of approval.

We see him here in the company of indigenous farmers, those to whom he has devoted his life by helping them organise their cooperative and renew their ties with coffee-growing.

We also see how he has successfully fought corruption, how he has gradually succeeded in imposing a vision of the economy that offers small growers the opportunity to recover their dignity and their autonomy.
