The Collection

The collection is one of the most complete in the world, with more than 1,600 coffee mills, including some unique articles. A journey into the world and history of the golden beans.

Coffee mills

These mills come in iron, wood, brass and bakelite version, with or without decorations, manual or electric, and made by craftsmen or industry. They reflect the history of arts and techniques. A range which extended from the end of the 17th century to the 1960s.

Iconography

Lithographic posters: created in the first half of the 20th century, these posters reflect the world of the plantations and a coffee lifestyle in Art Nouveau and Art Déco styles.

Etchings: these older works reflect life in the eastern ports of the 16th century, and life on the plantations of the 17th century. Full of gravity and humour, they reflect many of the episodes in the epic story of coffee.

Acquisitions

The Malongo collection is regularly enriched with new articles of historical or aesthetic interest.

In 2005, the wall mills from the Provinces de France series, kids version, were added to the collection.

In 2006, 2007 and 2008, coffee services from the 19th century, and tasting articles joined the collection, including one vacuum coffee machine. We also completed our old coffee machines with Italian pre-war models.
